Accessibility

Theatre should be accessible for everyone. Here you’ll find information about our efforts around accessibility.

Language

We use the official language icons by Huis van het Nederlands. This lets us offer practice opportunities to newcomers who are learning Dutch. They are also a handy guide for multilingual audiences.

Language icons

The indication LNP (Language No Problem) is used for wordless or multilingual performances that do not require any understanding of Dutch. Anyone can enjoy these performances, regardless of language skill.

Wheelchair accessibility

The building is accessible for wheelchair users.

  • The small door gives access to the elevator. The elevator lets you access the balcony, offices, cafe and terrace independently.
  • Unfortunately, the theatre itself is not independently accessible. If you are attending a performance, please take the elevator to the reception desk. A BRONKS staff member will guide you to the theatre.
  • Fully accessible toilets are available by the reception (-1). The toilet in the cafe (+2) has been adapted, but is less accessible due to the restricted width of the hallway.

Letting us know in advance that you’re attending as a wheelchair user can be useful, but it’s not essential. info@bronks.be or 02/229 53 00. If you want a free companion ticket for someone assisting you, please let us know in advance.

Specific needs

  • If you have limited mobility, are visually impaired or hearing impaired, or would like a front-row seat for any other reason, please get in touch via info@bronks.be or 02/229 53 00, or come to the ticket desk before the performance.
  • Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome.
  • Unfortunately, we (currently) do not have audio descriptions or ring loops available.
  • Want a free companion ticket or have a question? Get in touch at info@bronks.be or 02/229 53 00.

Accessible parking spaces

There are multiple disabled parking spaces available around Marché aux Porcs. You can find an interactive map here.
